How to generate passive revenue during holiday season

Summer holidays are here! Keep your business rolling while you’re relaxing – with these simple strategies.

The northern hemisphere is headed towards the summer holiday season. This doesn’t mean you should put your website on hold once you’ve got it running nicely! With these easy strategies, you can keep your revenue streams flowing while you’re relaxing in a hammock or sipping mojitos by the pool.

Affiliate marketing adapts to each season

Affiliate marketing can be a real income booster during summer months if you choose the products and services wisely. Try to think about your followers and what they need right now. How does that match your site’s topics?

If your website is all about fashion choices and accessories, it’s rather easy to find summer-y affiliate partners among the clothes and accessories manufacturers and retailers. But if your topics cover productivity and business, you’ll need to think about your angles a little bit more. Knowing your audience is key here: do they use their summer months to plan for the autumn (hello planners, productivity tools and accountability platforms!) or are they laying back under the sun?

What does your email marketing plan look like?

Have you tried all our tips on how to use automated email marketing yet? If you haven’t, summertime is ideal for that! Use these quiet weeks to set up some email marketing funnels and test them out.

If your funnels are already up and running (and you’ve mastered these more advanced techniques as well), they keep generating income while you relax.

Repurposing content is key

Creating fresh content consistently is key to attracting new leads for your email automation. However, it doesn’t mean spending too much time on your laptop!

If you already have a good content bank, you can repurpose existing content and schedule it on your website and social channels. After that, you only need to take an occasional glance on your channels to make sure everything is in order.

Summer-y brand collabs

Like affiliate marketing, brand collaborations can be a big hit for summer as well. Again, focus on brands and products that speak to your summer audience and try to find a summer-y spin to the collaborations.

If you feel you missed the train and your favorite brands don’t have any open slots for summer collaboration anymore, don’t worry. Start planning and creating content for the autumn campaigns. The flattering summer evening’s sun is perfect for photo shoots.
